"Although this is a complicated pattern, the main problem is one of constraint. The chief ingredients- Gui Zhi, Chai Hu, Huang Qin, and Da Huang- address constraint in the three yang channels and their respective yang organs. The assistant ingredients- Long Gu and Mu Li- weigh down and calm the floating spirit. Ren Shen and Fu Ling strengthen the qi of the middle burner, and ensure that it is not further damaged by the treatment.
