It eliminates cold-dampness, and stops pain. The herb is most often used in the treatment of painful obstruction due to pathogenic wind, dampness, or cold, wind pain in the joints, hemiplegia, headache from wind-cold, cold leading to abdominal pain, and toxic swollen yin flat abscesses.
