Grief Relief, 2oz

This formula has been used in my clinical practice for many years for helping to start the healing process associated with grief, mourning, or emotional trauma. While these herbs are no replacement for therapy, they seem to help people "stuck" in their pain-those suffering from broken hearts, "stagnant depression" and possibly even some types of post-traumatic stress disorder. Mimosa bark is an antidepressant and mood elevator used in TCM for depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Rose have long been associated with emotional healing. In Banckes' Herbal (1525), just smelling roses "comforts the brain and heart and quickeneth the spirit." Li Shih-Chen, in his famous Ben Cao Kang Mu, says roses "drive away melancholia." Hawthorn is regularly thought of as a cardiac remedy; from my experience it helps the emotional heart as well.
