Jia Wei Zuo Jin Wan (Augmented Left Metal Pill) is a TCM formula that builds on the classical Zuo Jin Wan by adding herbs to more comprehensively address Liver qi stagnation invading the Stomach. The base formula uses Huang Lian and Wu Zhu Yu to clear Liver fire and direct rebellious Stomach qi downward; the augmented version expands this action to better support overall Stomach function and relieve the distension and fullness that arise when Liver qi stagnation disrupts the Stomach’s descending function.
