  • Opens and disseminates Lung qi, clears phlegm, and benefits the throat: useful for cough or wheezing with copious sputum, throat pain, and loss of voice. Suitable for cough with abundant sputum caused by either cold or heat.
  • Clears out pus: used to expel pus related to lung abscess or throat abscess. The common symptoms of lung abscess include fever, chest pain, coughing up yellow sputum with a fishy odor, and expectoration of blood and pus.
