Sheng Jiang Xie Xin Tang is a classical TCM formula that harmonizes the Stomach, reduces focal distention, disperses clumping, and expels water.
Sheng Jiang Xie Xin Tang, translated as Fresh Ginger Decoction to Drain the Epigastrium, is a classical modification of Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang from the Shang Han Lun. It is specifically suited to patterns where water retention in the epigastrium accompanies the characteristic heat-cold bind of the Xie Xin family of formulas, with fresh ginger featured more prominently to address the fluid component.
- Harmonizes the Stomach and middle burner to restore the smooth ascent and descent of qi
- Reduces focal distention in the epigastrium associated with qi and fluid stagnation
- Disperses clumping caused by the heat-cold bind in the middle burner
- Expels retained water and fluids from the epigastric region
Available from KPC Herbs as 5:1 concentrated granules and capsules. Intended for use under the guidance of a licensed TCM practitioner.
