Wu Zhu Yu Tang is a classical TCM formula that warms and tonifies the Liver and Stomach, directs rebellious qi downward, and stops vomiting.
Wu Zhu Yu Tang is a classical TCM formula from the Shang Han Lun, primarily used to address patterns of cold invading the Liver and Stomach with rebellious Liver qi rising against a background of yang deficiency. Its warming, downward-directing, and vomiting-stopping actions make it suited to presentations with cold-type nausea, vomiting, vertex headache, and cold sensation in the epigastrium.

Chinese Symptomology: Vomiting due to Liver and Stomach Deficiency and Coldness.
Contraindications: Rarely, patients may experience a transitory sensation of discomfort in the chest, dizziness and a worsening of the headache after taking the decoction. These symptoms will disappear once the formula begins to take effect (within 30 minutes). The patient should rest after taking the decoction to minimize these side effects. This formula is contraindicated in cases with vomiting or acid reflux due to heat.i
