This formula addresses itching due to Blood heat with some deficiency of Yin and Blood. It combines heat-clearing herbs with wind dispelling herbs that bring the formula to the surface. The formula is particularly effective for allergic hives or eczema when taken quickly. It can also be used for red rash, acne, and to a lesser extent, measles and chicken pox. For seasonally dry skin, combine with Polygonum He Shou Wu. (Fratkin, Chinese Herbal Patent Medicines)
