Angelicae pubescentis Radix
Du Huo oil is CO2 extracted from the root of Angelica pubescentis, a thick, oily root with strong fragrance that grows in Sichuan and Hubei provinces of China. The bitter sweetness and spicy character of the oil can be deeply satisfying, and its aroma may bring tears to the eyes, a warm tingling to the ears and vitality to the knees. Entering kidney and bladder meridians, Du Huo’s main functions are intended to dispel wind, and eliminate dampness and cold to stop pain. It is powerful, fast acting, easy to use and cost effective.
Common Uses
* To dispel wind-damp pain in the low back and knees and chronic or acute aches and pain in the extremities and joints. Also for low body aches and pain.
* To release the Exterior, dispels Wind-Cold-Damp. For headache, chills, fever, joint pain, muscles aches and pain. Also for toothaches or headaches of lesser Yin stage.
* Blended and applied topically with Jing Jie oil for rash and itching, or combined with Chuan Xiong oil for aches and pain due to wind cold and dampness.
