Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi: Ginseng and Astragalus formula traditionally used to raise sunken Qi and strengthen Spleen and Stomach function.
Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) is one of the most celebrated classical formulas in Chinese medicine for addressing Spleen and Stomach Qi deficiency with sinking Middle Qi. First codified by Li Dong-yuan during the Jin dynasty, it is revered for raising sunken Yang Qi, warming the Middle Jiao, and restoring the ascending and descending functions of the digestive system.
- Raises sunken Yang Qi, making it particularly indicated for organ prolapse patterns (stomach, intestines, uterus, rectum) and chronic Qi collapse
- Tonifies Spleen and Stomach Qi, addressing fatigue, poor digestion, abdominal distension, loose stools, and a sense of heaviness in the limbs
- Huang Qi (Astragalus) serves as chief herb, supported by Dang Shen, Bai Zhu, Sheng Ma, and Chai Hu to raise Yang and restore Middle Jiao function
- Prepared as a 5:1 concentrated extract granule, equivalent to 500g of dried herb per 100g bottle
ActiveHerb Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang Granules are produced via whole-formula co-extraction. Suitable for licensed practitioners managing chronic deficiency, fatigue, digestive weakness, sinking Middle Qi, and deficiency fever patterns.
