Bazhen Tang by Classical Pearls is one of the foundational formulas of Chinese herbal medicine. Dating back to the 14th century, this formula combines the representative qi tonic Si Junzi Tang (Four Gentlemen Decoction) with the archetypal blood tonic, Siwu Tang (Four Substance Decoction), reflecting the Chinese medicine concept that the body’s Spleen qi is the generative force behind the formation of Liver Blood. It is most often prescribed for women, particularly when symptoms of Blood deficiency are present. The combined functions of the Spleen (forms and maintains healthy connective tissue) and Liver Blood (nourishes the skin, nails, and hair) has made Bazhen Tang a popular beauty tonic and the impact of them on numerous physiological functions makes it an effective remedy for various issues such as insomnia and the elimination of scar tissue.
Classical Pearls are formulated according to the principles of classical alchemy by Heiner Fruehauf, Ph.D. They contain no pharmaceuticals, preservatives, dyes, yeasts, or added sugars and are independently tested for purity, identity, and the concentration of active ingredients during procurement, manufacturing, and importing.
