Du Huo Ji Sheng Tang (Angelica Pubescens and Taxillum Decoction) is a classical TCM formula from Sun Si-Miao’s Bei Ji Qian Jin Yao Fang (Precious Prescriptions for Emergencies). It is one of the definitive formulas for wind-cold-damp painful obstruction (bi syndrome) complicated by underlying Liver and Kidney deficiency. The formula combines strong wind-damp dispelling agents with tonics for qi, blood, Liver, and Kidney to address both the root deficiency and the branch obstruction simultaneously.
