The Extraordinary Vessels, Extraordinary Organs, and the Art of Being Human
The Extraordinary Vessels, Extraordinary Organs, and the Art of Being Human
This ground-breaking book examines direct relationships between the primary channels, extraordinary vessels, zangfu and extraordinary organs, and presents a theoretical model that demonstrates how they are directly connected to each other and to Daoist conceptions of the evolution of consciousness. These interconnections allow for a direct link between the individual and their environment, as well as a continuous connection to Heaven above and Earth below. Understanding these connections allows practitioners of acupuncture and Chinese medicine to gain a deeper view into the functions of the various channel systems.
Through these connections, the channel and organ systems demonstrate an underlying drive to continually bring us back to the transcendent unity that we are always a part of, the natural state. This book will enlarge the perspective of practitioners of Chinese medicine, Daoism, and martial arts, and prompt new approaches to treatment.
