The fresh, fruity top note of this Qing Pi essential oil initially invigorates the senses, releasing feelings of restraint and anger. Its bitter and sour undertones then penetrate deeply, effectively breaking up stagnation.

Steam distilled Pericarpium Citri reticulatae Viride - 5ml
(Immature or green Mandarin tangerine peel)

Qing Pi’s unripe green color, along with its sour flavor and aroma, reflect its particular affinity for the wood element—Liver and Gallbladder. Its youthful immaturity contributes to its vigorous, energetic nature. In traditional Chinese medicine, Qing Pi’s channel affinities also include the Triple Burner and Stomach, where its bitterness flows downward counter to the natural direction.

Practitioners may consider using a compress that blends Qing Pi with Chai Hu or Xiang Fu essential oils to address clumping and pain related to liver Qi stagnation. Additionally, incorporating E Zhu essential oil might be beneficial in cases complicated by blood stasis, such as fixed, palpable breast lumps.

Qing Pi, when combined with Mu Xiang essential oil, may enhance its stomach-harmonizing action.
