Chinese Symptomology: Saber sores that are knotted and hard lumps, as hard as stones. These may be located on the neck or shoulders and down to the armpit, usually along the path of the hand and foot lesser yang channels or the foot yang brightness channel. Also addresses scrofula, goiter, and other neck tumors.
Contraindications: Care must be taken to protect thepatient's yi fluids and qi. Elderly and debilitated patients may require simultaneous or intermittent tonification when this formula is used.
