  • Crataegus Leaf (Shan Zha Ye, Folium Crataegi) promotes circulation and normalizes Heart rhythm. Crataegus leaf extract is taken orally for chronic Heart conditions including congestive Heart failure, angina, and arrhythmias. It may also help to lower Blood pressure, dilate vessels to the Heart, and improve Blood flow.

Herb Comparison

Shan Zha and Ji Nei Jin (Endothelium Corneum Gigeriae Galli) both strongly reduce Food Stagnation. Shan Zha reduces accumulated blockage due to over-consumption of meat, moves Qi, and breaks up Blood Stasis, and is used for amenorrhea, bulging disorders, and chest pain due to obstructive Stagnation. Ji Nei Jin treats all types of Food Stagnation, strengthens the Stomach, stops enuresis, and dissolves stones.

Dosage

Standard range: 8 to 16g (30 to 120g when used alone). Tincture: 2 to 4ml.

Generally, the recommended dosage for an adult is 9 grams per day, but any final decision should be made based on a trained healthcare practitioner's analysis. The dosage may be split into two or three servings per day. If taken twice a day, each serving size is 5 grams. If taken three times a day, each serving should be 3 grams. Each measuring spoon included with Treasures of the East granules holds 1.5g.
