Si Wu Tang, translated as Four Substance Decoction, is the foundational TCM blood tonic formula and one of the most widely used formulas in the entire classical canon. It replenishes, invigorates, and regulates the blood through the complementary actions of its four ingredients, and forms the base of many gynecological and blood-nourishing formulas.
