Jia Wei Xiao Yao San is a classical TCM formula that disperses congested Liver qi, removes heat, strengthens the Spleen, and nourishes blood.
Jia Wei Xiao Yao San builds on the classical formula Xiao Yao San with the addition of Mu Dan Pi (Moutan bark) and Zhi Zi (Gardenia fruit) to enhance the formula's ability to clear heat and cool the blood. It is indicated for patterns of Liver qi stagnation with blood deficiency where heat signs are more prominent.
