"There are two way to prepare vinegar curcuma rhizome (e zhu). Either boil the entire root in water and vinegar at a moderate temperature and then slice it, or spray the already sliced herb with vinegar and then dry-fry it. After preparing with vinegar, Curcumae Rhizoma (e zhu) is better able to enter the blood level of the Liver channel, and its ability to disperse stasis and stop pain is enhanced."- Bensky
