This formula is based on Zhang Zhongjing\'s classical formula for nourishing Heart Qi, Yin, and Shen, and is useful for cases of anxiety, depression, and emotional instability. The original three herbs in this formula are Triticum Fu Xiao Mai, Glycyrrhiza Gan Cao, and Zizyphyus Jujube Da Zao. This version has been reinforced with herbs to nourish Blood and Yin, and also Albizzia He Huan Pi, which is used to treat Liver stagnation causing emotional depression.
