Cinnamon Twig and Poria Decoction: invigorates Blood and dispels stasis to address gynecological Blood stasis patterns and soften nodules.
Gui Zhi Fu Ling Tang (Cinnamon Twig and Poria Decoction) is a classical formula for invigorating the Blood, resolving Blood stasis, and softening abdominal masses. First described in the Jin Gui Yao Lue by Zhang Zhong-jing, it was originally designed for mild uterine bleeding during pregnancy and has since become a foundational formula in gynecological practice across both Chinese and Japanese Kampo traditions.
- Traditionally used for Blood stasis patterns in the lower abdomen and uterus, including dysmenorrhea, menstrual irregularity, spotting, and retained lochia after childbirth
- Applicable in presentations involving ovarian cysts, endometriosis, and uterine masses when rooted in Blood stasis
- A simple yet effective 5-herb formula: Gui Zhi warms and moves, Fu Ling transforms Dampness, and Mu Dan Pi, Tao Ren, and Bai Shao resolve stasis and harmonize the Blood
- Prohibited during pregnancy except under the guidance of a licensed TCM professional
ActiveHerb Gui Zhi Fu Ling Tang Granules are prepared as a 5:1 whole-formula co-extract. This formula requires professional supervision, particularly during pregnancy or in complex gynecological presentations.
