Juan Bi Tang (Remove Painful Obstruction Decoction) is a classical TCM formula appearing in the Yi Xue Fa Ming (Teachings of Medicine) by Li Gao and later in the Yang Shi Jia Zang Fang. It addresses wind-cold-damp painful obstruction (bi syndrome) arising against a background of defensive and constructive qi deficiency. By supplementing and harmonizing the Wei (defensive) and Ying (constructive) qi while simultaneously dispelling wind and eliminating dampness, it addresses both the root deficiency and the branch obstruction in a single formula. Available from TCM Zone as concentrated granules in 42 individual packets.
TCM actions include:
- Supplements and harmonizes the defensive (Wei) and constructive (Ying) qi
- Dispels wind and eliminates dampness
Dissolve packet contents in hot water. For use under the guidance of a licensed TCM practitioner.
