Harmonizes and releases the lesser yang, and drains internal clumping due to heat.*

Da Chai Hu Tang (Major Bupleurum Decoction) is one of the foundational formulas of the Shang Han Lun, available here without Da Huang (rhubarb root) in a 200g concentrated granule format. It addresses combined shaoyang and yangming excess patterns, where exterior shaoyang disharmony is accompanied by internal heat clumping in the yangming channel.

This modified version omits Da Huang, making it appropriate when the purgative action is not required but the harmonizing and heat-draining effects remain indicated. The 200g size supports ongoing clinical dispensing.
