Tonifies qi and blood, warms and harmonizes the channels and collaterals, harmonizes the ying and wei, unblocks painful obstruction, warms the middle jiao, dispels cold, alleviates pain, and harmonizes yin and yang.*

Huang Qi Wu Wu Tang (Astragalus and Cinnamon Twig Five Herb Decoction) is a classical Traditional Chinese Medicine formula from the Jin Gui Yao Lue, available in a 200g concentrated granule format. It is indicated for blood painful obstruction (xue bi) arising from qi and blood deficiency with wind-cold-damp invading the channels and collaterals, presenting as numbness of the limbs, weakness, and a submerged, choppy, or faint pulse.

This formula uses Huang Qi as the chief herb to powerfully tonify wei qi and consolidate the exterior, while Gui Zhi, Shao Yao, Sheng Jiang, and Da Zao warm and harmonize the channels, nourish the blood, and support the middle burner. Its broad range of actions makes it one of the more comprehensive formulas for deficiency-type bi syndrome.
