Overview:
Li Dan Support is inspired by the modern formula Benefit Gallbladder Tablets (Li Dan Pian). It’s designed to move Liver Qi, clear Heat, and address Damp-Heat affecting the Liver and Gallbladder.

Its main herb, Chinese skullcap root, is bitter and cooling—ideal for draining Heat and drying Dampness. Together with herbs like Lysimachia and Capillaris, it helps clear Damp-Heat from the Gallbladder and Liver. Honeysuckle and Isatis further reduce Heat and Fire, while rhubarb root helps purge buildup, cool the Blood, and support healthy elimination.

Saussurea root aids Spleen Qi and digestion, while Bupleurum helps release Liver constraint and harmonize the Liver and Spleen.

Origins:
Li Dan Support is based on formulas rooted in traditional texts, including Da Chai Hu Tang (Major Bupleurum Decoction) from the Shang Han Lun and Long Dan Xie Gan Tang (Gentiana Decoction to Drain the Liver) from Yi Fang Ji Jie (1682).
